Peer Mentoring Supports Students

News & Events
Index

[Print-friendly version]

Counselling Services has recently begun supporting peer mentoring programs at QUT. Peer Mentors are trained, experienced students who might provide a friendly face, a contact point, or advice and support on thriving as a student. Research and experience has shown such programs to be a very useful part of a student's early experiences at university. Interested students should enquire at their Faculty office, or email ha.fletcher@qut.edu.au for information.

Counselling Services hosts the Peer Mentoring Steering Committee (a committee of academics and staff who deliver faculty based programs across QUT), and will coordinate training programs for new Mentors.

Further information about Peer Mentoring can be found here.
