People may consider leaving university for a variety of reasons. These may
be related to choice of course, financial difficulties, personal difficulties
or other issues.
If you are considering leaving university we would strongly
advise you to contact Counselling Services and discuss your situation with
a counsellor. He/she may
assist you with a decision making process responsive to your needs rather
than the expectations of others. This process may enable you to clarify your
situation,
provide an opportunity to talk it over with an independent person, explore
all your options and assist you to follow through on your decision.
In addition a counsellor might also be able to direct you to other resources
within the university whether these be academic staff, course coordinators,
finance or a career counsellor, who will assist you in your decision making
process.
