For many students, starting university means moving away from home into rental accommodation for the first time. QUT has loads of information about moving into a place to call home, tips and ideas on how to live in a share house and a service which can help you find a place of your own. So, if you are thinking about moving into a share house, or living in one already and need some ideas on how to make the house work really well go to: www.qut.edu.au/sharehousing. This site has lots of great ideas on how to set up a share house, how to manage or prevent share house conflict, information about your tenancy rights and responsibilities, and even a section to help you balance your budget. You can also read some real life stories in our Dr House section and sign up to a share house newsletter so that you are always up to date with share house happenings. If you are looking for accommodation or have a spare room that you want to rent out, check out the Accommodation Service on www.qut.edu.au/accommodation. This site will be able to give you the low down on suburbs near QUT and how to find yourself a home. Can't find what you need on these sites or would rather talk to someone in person?
