If you are unable to repay your loan in full by the due date you must apply for a loan extension BEFORE the due date.
To do this you will need to send an email from your QUT student email account to the loans administrator on qut.studentloans@qut.edu.au. Your email should include the following information:
- Name
- Student number
- Semester address
- Phone number
- Amount of original loan
- Date repayment in full is due
- Reason for requesting extension
- Proposed extension date
- Proposed plan to repay loan by this date.
Remember if you are having difficulties with maintaining your repayments you can make an appointment to see a Welfare Officer or International Student Advisor. They may be able to help you with budgeting and resources that will assist you to manage your money.
